Of all the mechanical parts, the wear of the shock absorber is the most difficult to detect, because the driver will gradually adapt to the decline of the vehicle’s shock absorption capacity. Abnormal wear of the shock absorber can change the way the vehicle moves. So attention to shock absorbers is essential.
First, the shock absorber shell is not hot
After the car has driven on the road with poor road conditions for about 10 kilometers, if the shock absorber shell is not hot enough, there is no resistance inside the shock absorber and the shock absorber does not work. At this time, you can add an appropriate lubricant, and then perform a test. If the shell is hot, there is a lack of oil in the shock absorber. If there is no temperature, the shock absorber has failed.
Two, shock absorber elasticity test
Press the bumper firmly and release it. If the car jumps no more than once or twice, the shock absorber is working well. If the bouncing up and down looks very flexible, you need to pay attention to it, go to the 4S shop to check it.
Third, whether the car shakes violently
Emergency braking when the car is running slowly. If the car vibrates severely, it also indicates a problem with the shock absorber.
