How to determine if an B18479 oil/gas separator has failed?

A failed B18479 oil/gas separator on a car can lead to the symptoms of engine jitter after cold start, oil combustion, too high concentration of air-fuel mixture, and visual alarm generated by engine fault light.

The B18479 oil/gas separator is a key part of the electric submersible pump system. It serves as the entrance of oil and gas into the multi-stage centrifugal pump, and separates out free gas from well liquid before the gas/oil mixture enters the pump, thus reducing the impact of gas on performance of the electric submersible pump system, preventing cavitation and airlock in the centrifugal pump, and allowing the multi-stage centrifugal pump to work normally.

The B18479 oil/gas separator is a unit used to separate crude oil exploited in oil wells from associated natural gas. The oil/gas separator is placed between a submersible centrifugal pump and a protector to separate free gas from well liquid. While the liquid thus obtained is fed to the submersible centrifugal pump, the gas is directed to the annular space between oil pipes and sleeves.
